André Beaudoin

M.Sc. Student, Université de Montréal

André is a master student at the Université de Montréal supervised byRené Doyon. He is working on adaptive optics systems as well as on a simulator for the HIRES instrument of the E-ELT.

André obtained his bachelor’s degree in engineering physics from Polytechnique Montréal in 2021. After numerous integrative projects involving mechanics, metrology, simulation and optics, and research internships in a microfluidics laboratory (Polytechnique, 2019) and in mathematics (CRM, Université de Montréal, 2020), he turned to astronomical instrumentation to complete his master’s degree.

André also studied for a semester in Sweden at Linköping Universtitet, as an exchange student during his bachelor’s degree, where he developed his knowledge in mechanical modeling and semiconductor technology.
