Ariane received her Honours Bachelor’s degree in Physics and Mathematics from the University of Ottawa in the fall of 2020. During her undergraduate studies, she did an internship at iREx. She worked under the supervision of René Doyon and Étienne Artigau at the Université de Montréal and under the supervision of Pascal Fouqué at the Canada-France-Hawaii Telescope, located on the Big Island of Hawai’i. The objective was to reproduce known results from the literature with data obtained by SPIRou, more specifically the radial velocities of certain stars.
During her Master’s degree, Ariane is again working under the supervision of René Doyon. Her project consists in obtaining mass measurements of exoplanets using high-precision infrared velocimetry with SPIRou.
