Darya Daniels

Darya has just completed her 3rd year of her degree in the combined honours program in Physics and Astronomy at the University of British Columbia. She has been interested in space ever since she was a child from watching sci-fi discussing exciting space news with her dad. She developed her passion for exoplanets through her high school classes and projects, and was given the opportunity to conduct her own research on a Hot Neptune Desert planet.

This summer, Darya will be joining Joost Wardenier, Louis-Philippe Coulombe and their team studying exoplanetary atmospheres and is excited about all there is for her to learn. Outside of her work, Darya loves working in outreach, striving to help make the world of science a more inclusive and welcoming space for all.
