Élyse D’Aoust

Élyse is currently completing her second year in the Honours physics program with a minor in computer science at the University of Ottawa. She has always had a passion for astronomy and astrophysics, and loves reading books on those subjects. Having recently bought her own high quality telescope, she enjoys spending evenings observing the night sky. For the past two summers, Élyse worked in a fiber optics lab at uOttawa under the supervision of Dr. Xiaoyi Bao, and is eager to explore a different field of physics research this upcoming summer.

Élyse is very excited to dive into astrophysics research during her internship at iREx. She will be supervised by professor Björn Benneke, and will be studying reflected-light spectroscopy of exoplanet atmospheres.
