Luc Bazinet is a student who is entering his final year of a bachelor’s degree in physics-mathematics with a minor in computer science at the University of Ottawa. He will complete his internship under the supervision of Professor Björn Benneke of the Université de Montréal.
This internship will be his second experience at iREx. During the summer of 2021, he modified the exoplanet atmosphere modelling program named SCARLET. He improved the code responsible for the chemical composition of atmospheres. This summer, he will work again with SCARLET. But this time, he will use it to model the atmosphere of the exoplanet WASP-43b, using data collected by the Hubble Space Telescope. Luc is happy to join the iREx team again this summer.
