Naman Jain

Naman did his undergraduate studies at McMaster University, and is going to join McGill as a Master’s student in Fall 2023. In his previous summer work, under the supervision of Dr. Laura Parker, he studied the environmental dependence of star-formation in galaxies by applying various statistical tools on a sample of galaxies derived from the Sloan Digital Sky Survey (SDSS). In his undergraduate thesis, under the supervision of Dr. Chris Wilson, he used high resolution images of CO lines in the Antennae galaxy to probe and analyze the properties of molecular gas in merger systems.

As a Trottier summer intern, Naman will be working with Dr. Jonathan Gagné to catalogue and analyze Young Moving Clusters (YMCs).
