Olivia Locke

2023 Trottier Summer Intern, McGill University B.Sc. Student

Olivia Locke is currently a third year BSc Physics and Geophysics student at McGill University. She is excited to take part in this research, which combines her interests in astrophysics and geophysics. Last summer, she worked at TU Dortmund, in Germany, exploring uncertainty measures for deep learning-based imaging in radio interferometry. She has also studied Brightest Cluster Galaxy formation under Dr. Tracy Webb at McGill University.

Olivia is delighted to work under Dr. Björn Benneke’s supervision, modeling the atmosphere of a newly discovered exoplanet. This model will be used to explore the spectroscopic signatures of volcanic activity and affect future James Webb Space Telescope observations.
