Tekaronhiakanere has just completed her 2nd year of a Bachelor of Science degree in Physics and Atmospheric Sciences at McGill University. She will be working with Nicolas Cowan along with Prof. Robert Fajber from McGill, after having worked the previous summer with Nicolas Cowan as a member of the McGill Exoplanet Characterization Alliance, studying exoplanets and their atmosphere.
This summer she will continue her research, studying the role of orographically-forced atmospheric heat transport in tidally locked exoplanet habitability. She will use existing model simulations to calibrate a simplified atmospheric circulation model to sweep over a large range of orbital parameters and ice sheet configurations. She looks forward to continuing her research and working with some amazing people.
