Vincent is completing his second year in the Honours Mathematics and Physics program at McGill University. From his first year, his interest in research led him to a summer internship in 2021. Within Professor Elliot Paquette’s team from the Department of Mathematics at McGill University, he applied random matrix theory to the optimization of artificial neural networks.
Vincent is thrilled to be able to combine this research experience with his passion for astrophysics as a 2022 Trottier Summer Intern at iREx. Under the supervision of Professor Eve Lee, he will study the effect of entropy advection in a gaseous environment on the formation of super-Earths and mini-Neptunes.
