It is with great pleasure that we announce the creation of the Lumbroso iREx Ambassador Grant, awarded annually to one of our iREx graduate students at the Université de Montréal to recognise their leadership, community involvement, and efforts to promote scientific literacy to a wide audience.

The grant is made possible by a generous donation from Sylvain Lumbroso, a long-time supporter of iREx. Mr. Lumbroso, who studied communications and management, is passionate about science and history. In 2012, he founded a company that creates educational apps, where he serves as the Chief Operating Officer. He also writes for several magazines, including Le Devoir and Québec Science. He not only believes in the scientific mission of our Institute, but also wishes to underline the importance of training the next generation of scientists and encouraging young researchers to do scientific communication and the promotion of scientific culture through this grant.
