Lina’s interests consist of the intricate ways science models nature, which led her to pursue an education in astronomy and physics. In the summer of 2022, she worked in Dr. Kim Venn’s spectroscopy research group; she programmed data analysis tools using supernova nucleosynthesis yields and stellar chemical abundances for galactic archeology applications. She is going into the last year of her undergraduate studies in astronomy at the University of Victoria.
This summer, Lina will be working under the supervision of Dr. Eve Lee at McGill. She will construct a science-motivated target list for Ariel, an upcoming European space mission aiming to acquire exoplanet atmospheric data.
