Henri Lamarre

Henri completed the Honours Math and Physics bachelor’s degree at McGill University before starting his master’s degree at Université de Montréal with Dr. Paul Charbonneau in 2021. After a year of working on solar flare predictions, he did an accelerated passage to start a Ph.D. on the same subject. These theses were both co-supervised by Dr. Antoine Strugarek, from CEA Paris-Saclay, France. This co-supervision led to multiple international collaborations, on exploring the use of avalanche models in the context of solar flares, analyzing 3D magnetohydrodynamical simulations of the sun, and more.

In addition to research, Henri has an interest in numerical arts, video game conception, and teaching tools using programming.
