Laurie is currently completing her second year in physics at Laval University. She first developed an interest in astrophysics when she visited the Mount Megantic Observatory at the age of 10 years old. She has already worked on a project about gas dynamics in galaxies for a project that was part of her studies. She also participated in a research project about nonlinear optics focused on femtosecond fiber lasers during a previous internship. She is very excited to do an internship at iREx. She will be supervised by professor Björn Benneke.
