Olivia is an undergraduate student entering her third and final year at McGill (Majors Physics, Minor CS). She is deeply enthusiastic about pursuing a career in astronomical research and fostering scientific interest in younger people through education and outreach along the way.
Over the past year, Olivia has worked in Prof. Adrian Liu’s research group, simulating aliasing effects of upchannelization algorithms and calibration errors for the Canadian Hydrogen Observatory and Radio-Transient Detector (CHORD). She is also involved in her department’s EDI Committee and was co-chair of the organizing committee for the 2024 CCUWiP, jointly hosted at McGill and UdeM.
This summer, she’s very excited to be working with Prof. René Doyon and Dr. Romain Allart to investigate exoplanet atmosphere compositions using NIRPS.
