Kevin Marimbu

M.Sc. Student, McGill University

Kevin Marimbu completed both a bachelor’s degree in physics and a bachelor’s degree in music at the University of Ottawa in 2022. Having done research projects related to biophysics and materials science during his time as an undergraduate student, he is now beginning his journey in astrophysics research under the supervision of Eve Lee.

His first project will focus on the orbital architecture of sub-Neptunes. By tracking the time evolution of the orbital period distributions of these small planets using open-source N-body code REBOUND, he will determine the degree to which orbital instabilities can sculpt such distributions and erase the memory of initial formation.
