After a year completed in the undergraduate program in physics at Université de Montréal, Samuel will join iREx as an intern for the summer of 2024. This represents to him a perfect opportunity to put to good use his great enthusiasm for astronomy and astrophysics as well as his profound desire to understand the universe and discover its hidden structures.
Under the supervision of researcher Loïc Albert, his main task will be to analyze the photometry of images taken near white dwarfs by the James Webb Space Telescope. This analysis aims to identify, reject, and better characterize the objects which can be mistaken for exoplanets in these observations.
