Antony Linares

2025 Trottier Summer Intern, Université de Montréal B.Sc. Student

Antony is currently in his 2nd year of a bachelor’s degree in physics at the Université de Montréal. Since childhood, he has always been interested in science, and since his teenage years, he has been passionate about computer programming, aerospace and astronomy. He owns several telescopes and is a member of an amateur astronomy club. He devotes his spare time to observing the sky, as well as mastering spectroscopy and photometry techniques.

For him, being an intern at the Trottier Institute for Research on Exoplanets is an opportunity to discover and share in a field he’s passionate about.

During his internship in the summer of 2025, Antony will work under the supervision of David Lafrenière. He will use data from exoplanet transits observed by the James Webb Space Telescope to determine the age of host stars.
