Joliane is a first-year student in the Bachelor of Physics program at Université de Montréal. Her passion for astronomy motivates her to engage actively in research and contribute to the advancement of the field. She is a recipient of the Marie-Curie Grant, which offers her the opportunity to complete a research internship with a professor. As part of this grant, Joliane is joining the IREx as an intern for the summer of 2025, working under the supervision of René Doyon and Charles Cadieux.
During this internship, Joliane takes part in research focused on exoplanet detection using radial velocity techniques. She is set to analyze archival data from the ESPRESSO spectrograph to help establish the first estimates on the masses of the planets orbiting the nearby red dwarf TOI-700. This opportunity allows her to develop valuable expertise and prepare her for a future career in astrophysics research.
